My favorite models are not toys. The Case 960 Combine and FORD 640 are my
favorites. Our neighbor used to give me rides on his 960 in the late
1970's. I always enjoyed it when he would let me ride along. It was fun
watching the wooden bats whirl around gathering the grain and all the
grass hoppers pouring in with the grain in the tank behind the cab. The
farm next to him would often help with their FORD 640. Case stopped making
combines in 1972 and Ford imported Claas combines and painted them blue
for only a short time in the mid-1970's. Back then most farms were one color
from the plow to the combine. I was glad when Ertl released the John
Deere 95 and IH combines. I hope they will follow with Case and Ford
 models someday.
