TIGER IV 525

Kent Lowen's 1/64 Tiger IV from http://www.hirezminiatures.com

When Steiger introduced the Tiger IV 525 in 1986 it was the largest Steiger re-leased to date. This model was built for the farm that needed to turn over vast area's of ground in a hurry. The Steiger Tiger was also a popular model  with contract leveling and scrapping outfits for its high horse power brute lugging abilities. The Tiger IV had a short life in green as Tenneco purchased the Steiger corporation in 1986 and re-released the 525hp model as the Case International 9190 in 1987. No scale models were ever made of the Tiger IV. Kent Lowen has built his own 1/64 model pictured above and Ertl plans to release a Tiger Turbo series III model from 1979 as a 1/32 model in April 2003. It will be  part of the Toy Farmer Steiger Heritage Series.
