1850
The popular Oliver 1850 was a fine balance of power and weight to whisk the farming season along. Oliver offered the 1850 from 1964 to 1969. An open chamber, 6-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine powered the 1850 for peak performance. The high performance 92 hp engine allowed a farmer to squeeze every ounce of work out of the 1850 day and day out. The 1850 was also available with a Waukesha gasoline engine. Farmers got a closed-center hydraulic system with extra lifting power on demand, full power on the PTO to operate large equipment, power brakes, Tilt-O-Scope power steering, weight-indicator seat based on rubber mounting blocks. The 1850 was available as a row crop wide or tricycle model. Four-wheel drive was also available on the 1850. Ertl first offered a 1/16 scale 1850 in 1965 that on average will bringing $220 NIB today. Ertl also offered a fwa version of the 1850 starting in 1965. This was the first fwa model tractor Ertl ever offered and at farm toy shows today will bring around $483.
