1/32 New Holland Premier Dealer Edition
1/64 TG 285 Collectors Edition The TG series
is the latest row crop tractor from New Holland. The TG traces it roots
from the Genesis tractor and is ground in CaseIH engineering for the 21st
century. The TG is unique from its cousin the next generation MX Magnum.
TG Models include the TG 210,170 hp, TG 230, 190 hp, TG 255, 215 hp, TG
285, 240 hp. Powerful New Holland 8.3-liter engines provide up
to 56% PTO torque rise to give you enough lugging power to do any job in a range
from 170 hp to 240 hp. Each TG has a programmable 18x4 full powershift. TG's use SuperSteer FWD axle which gave new meaning to
tight turning. The SuperSteer axle turns up to an angle of 65 degree. Also, this
"best in class" turning radius allows you to make "a simple turn
at the headland on 30-inch rows with an eight-row implement. The
standard 2WD axle and FWD axle also provide excellent maneuverability: 55
degrees for the standard 2WD axle, 50 degrees for the standard FWD axle. Front
duals are now available on the TG 285 and TG 255. Another New Holland only
option is closed-center load-sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system delivers 38.6 gpm
flow as standard equipment with the optional Megaflow for a total of 68 gpm. The TG series from New Holland will set a new standard for power,
comfort, and effortless operation. In July 2002 New Holland dealers were given a
Premier Edition TG 285 as the TG series dealer introduction. The brand new New
Holland TG Series tractors are designed to provide the best performance in the
industry today. The workhorse TG285 is powered by an 8.3-liter turbocharged
engine that is air-to-air intercooled, and produces 240-horsepower. An industry
leading 56% torque rise and up to an additional 30-horsepower makes it ideal for
the heaviest chores you can dish out! This 1/32 Premier
Edition has a gray window cab, cab mirrors, working 3pt hitch and front and rear
duals. This model is what is known as a pre-production resin model. When a toy
maker first develops a new toy they create a prototype from styrene or resin
plastic. For the CNH product launch in St. Louis where the New Holland TG series
were introduced each New Holland dealer was given one hand built and hand
painted TG 285 in 1/32 scale made by Ertl. The reason the tractor has gray
windows is because it is a resin plastic model much like a pre-production
die-cast model. It was "cast" using the 1/64 "2-X" prototype
tooling model. It should prove to be a rare toy tractor as only a few hundred
were made for NH dealership owners. special 1:32 scale replica commemorates the
introduction of the TG Series, and represents the first resin replica produced
for New Holland. The replica includes an FWA axle, fenders and tires; mirror
decals, detailed three-point hitch, and front and rear dual wheels (front duals
are available factory installed on the actual tractors). A number of secondary
paint operations add greater detail, and the chassis displays an exclusive tampo-print
that reads, "TG Tractor Introduction Edition July 2002" and includes
the New Holland "leaf" logo. This special unit is not available for
dealer resale.
