New Holland 1500 Combine
The 1500 was New Holland's big combine of the early 1970's and was produced from 1974 to 1976. It was a conventional combine and sold along side the Twin Rotor TR 70 during the 1975 season. Overloading a 1500 was never a concern for operators with its 50 - inch cylinder. Visibility was a real plus with the 1500 with its centrally mounted cab. The 1500 could handle grain headers from 13ft to 19ft and corn heads from 2 to 4 rows. The 1500 had a bin capacity of 133 bushels with its bubble up grain tank. At some point Yaxon produced a New Holland style 1500 combine. The model number on the toy is 9080 reflecting a New Holland European model. Yaxon toys are made in Italy. Yaxon is best known for making several types of racing type of cars in the 1:43 scale. If you have any information on the Yaxon combine e-mail Jason Hasert at Webmaster@toytractorshow.com .
