jeff moores farm toys: Hello J.Hasert: Hi Jeff jeff moores farm toys: Hi Jay jeff moores farm toys: And everyone else J.Hasert: Do
you want to start early Jeff? jeff moores farm toys: Yes...we
can start now. J.Hasert: Well
I will start. Will you have a tandem no till drill hitch for the 1560? jeff moores farm toys: We have thought about it but we probably won't. Everything needs retooled jeff moores farm toys: and we don't think we will sell enough to justify the costs. Brandon Casebier: Jeff
have got a brand for your V-rake yet? Also do you plan to do other hay equipment
such as tedders and disc mowers? jeff moores farm toys: Yes
but we can't say yet. Sorry :-) jeff moores farm toys: A
disc mower is on our list.... Brandon Casebier: Great,
will it be 3pt? jeff moores farm toys: We are talking with aq manufacturer on the disc mower. It will be 3pt. front and possibly rear mounted ryan borcherding: What
new can we expect to see from you guys soon???? jeff moores farm toys: The
first thing you will see is some more combine detail kits. : We
have a steering kit for the Rogator jeff moores farm toys: You know we can't tell you too much!!! :-) ryan borcherding: cool...thanks Todd Beougher: Are you going to make a kit for cat combines jeff moores farm toys: It should be on the market soon. In time for the wheat harvest baffin: What
about designing a hard top canopy that attaches to the ROPS on Ertl tractors
that can be bought in different sizes for different make tractors? jeff moores farm toys: We might be able to supply one. We cast one for a customer. baffin: Do
you think it would be a good seller? Or have you done it before? jeff moores farm toys: We
cast two different ones...one for IH and one for the JD 4020 and AC190. Honestly
we don't think it would be a good seller. baffin
I'm talking for the new tractors with a loader. Ok thanks jeff moores farm toys
The one we cast should fit any 1/64 tractor with a Rops. Todd Beougher: do
you guys make Cultipacker jeff moores farm toys: Not
any more. We had a scratch built one a few years ago. We are looking into
casting one. We have some patterns done for it nathaniel: do you plan on making any big liquid tanks to go on a 60ft field cultivator jeff moores farm toys: what
size tank do you want? We have a 1000 gallon eliptic style that we : that
should be molded soon baffin: How
long of a process is it to fully design/make a new implement, kit, etc? : I
know it depends on what is being made jeff moores farm toys: It
depends on how many pieces in the kit and how much detail there is. If a piece
is simple, very little detail, we can have it done in a week or two. baffin: weeks, months? Can you give an example jeff moores farm toys: Some
things take years....the combine trailer took 5 years to get on the market! \ jeff moores farm toys: Some things take years....the combine trailer took 5 years to get on the market! : The tandem hitch took two weeks baffin: Ok
just wondering, thanks. jeff moores farm toys: The
STX kit took about 3 months from the first pattern until we had the ....
finished kit on the market jeff moores farm toys: We have a 400 gallon and a 1000 gallon eliptic tank we are working on. jeff moores farm toys: A
pull type applicator is in the works but you will see a 3 pt one first. A pull
type applicator is in the works but you will see a 3 pt one first Brandon Casebier: cool,
DMI applicator? jeff moores farm toys: Who
knows? :-) Tyler Hall: I
saw on toy talk something about a Massey 750 in 64th scale and i was wondering : what
the deal is with that . Is it something that will be produced soon? jeff moores farm toys: We had the pattern but lost it in the fire. We haven't redone it yet... Tyler Hall: is
it in the plan for the future? jeff moores farm toys: ...I will someday. I want to make the entire line of MF combines... Tyler Hall: That would be awesome jeff moores farm toys: The
distant future! jeff moores farm toys: My
sentiments exactly! I wish I could afford to do them all right now! nathaniel: are
you going to make a hay head for the 6910 self propelled chopper jeff moores farm toys: We don't have any plans for that. I think C & D has one. nathaniel: ok JSchomburg: Since
I was late getting here maybe this was asked already, but when will the Cat
combine detail kit be done jeff moores farm toys: By wheat season! JSchomburg: Along with the bin ext. jeff moores farm toys: We had trouble with the feeder housings but got it fixed. We ran some this week jeff moores farm toys: As
soon as we get instructions done they should be ready to market jeff moores farm toys: We
have metal bin extensions for the Cat but we are trying to get them to run: in
plastic baffin: What about liquid fertilizer equipment such as 6500 g tilt tanks, 1000g drag tank with the Jon Blu Pumps on a press wheel, nurse tanks with 2" Briggs Pumps jeff moores farm toys: Possibly
a 3 pt hitch injector but no tanks. Ertl and Norscott have the tanks... baffin
getting kinda detailed, sorry I'll back off LOL baffin: I'm
talking about stations tilt tank, and drag for side dressing or etc jeff moores farm toys: A
centrifugal pump either engine or hydraulic driven is on our list cody wolfe: how would you make a wolfe 400 drainage plow in 1/64 jeff moores farm toys: I've
looked at your pictures - I would use styrene plastic and get a rough shape jeff moores farm toys: then reshape and work on it until it is right. I have some ideas but they ... jeff moores farm toys: would
be better told to you over the phone. Josh Cook: jeff,
have you considerd people sending you their tractors or combines and you detailing
them and sending them a bill jeff moores farm toys: for customizing? Josh Cook: yes jeff moores farm toys: The
only time that is a cost saving to you is if you want an older discontinued
model. The postage usually is the same as the tractor or combine We have done
it. We deduct the wholesale cost of the item from the price. Farmer Dan: do you plan on making a pickup head for any of the combines for wheat? jeff moores farm toys: Yes Farmer Dan: Will
it be very detailed? as there isn't much to it jeff moores farm toys: It will as detailed as possible...with swivel castor wheels Farmer Dan: Great thanks allot I look forward to it jeff moores farm toys: Sorry...that should have been...it will BE as detailed as possible Farmer Dan: I
figured thanks that will be cool jeff moores farm toys: TB...we
are working on a minimum tillage cultivator Todd Beougher: no
rowcrop cultivators jeff moores farm toys: no....not to start with. Other manufacturers already make them jeff moores farm toys: Everyone....what
do you think about a white combine trailer Dusty Kirschmann: White trailers. I have never seen one on the road Tim Mattson: How
do you make your 3 pt. hitches raise and lower? jeff moores farm toys: I
don't think we can tell you here...15 word limit remember? :-) We will put...
put a "how to" on the workbench telling you how to do it Tim Mattson: ok thanks jeff moores farm toys: It cannot be done to every tractor.... Dusty Kirschmann: my
? was asked pickup headers for wheat will they have casters? jeff moores farm toys: For those of you who have put our kits on....'were the instructions understandable? jeff moores farm toys: Dusty...yes
they will have castor JSchomburg: For the most part, yes, but I had a little trouble with the 9750 auger part Tim Mattson: Yes, but some of the pictures were hard to see John Esche: My STX kit instructions were understandable jeff moores farm toys: Installing
the tube? What was the problem? JSchomburg: I
would pay the extra for color pics JSchomburg: yeah
installing the tube, your instructions on TTS cleared things up though jeff moores farm toys: JSchomburg..you
mean you would pay more if we put color pics in the instructions jeff moores farm toys: A color copy would raise the price a dollar... JSchomburg: That's not bad at all jeff moores farm toys: J shomburg....I think you are in the minority. Most think our prices are high Todd Beougher: There not bad JSchomburg: I
think your probably right, special stuff requires special prices though jeff moores farm toys: We
try to keep them as low as we can. If colored pictures are necessary we can get
them. JSchomburg: Maybe
you could do the color pics on a case by case bases JSchomburg: I understand, well you know my vote JSchomburg: offer them as an option with orders Brandon Casebier: as
good quality stuff as yours jeff moores farm toys: Case
by case would cost more. The more pictures I have printed the cheaper it is jeff moores farm toys: JShomburg...If you would like that then ask when you order something and we... jeff moores farm toys: Can
send you color instructions. JSchomburg: Great,
I'd appreciate it Todd Beougher: Will
you be making any bean equipment? jeff moores farm toys: Todd...what
are you looking for? Todd Beougher: a
pickett rod puller or a TFI puller and a header like the wheat header jeff moores farm toys: We
aren't familiar with this equipment. Send us some info and we will look at it Todd Beougher: ok JSchomburg: I
agree with Todd, but a pull type bean combine would also be cool jeff moores farm toys: I think so too....can we sell 2000 units? JSchomburg: There is some pics on TTS under the farming section Todd Beougher: I like that idea to but we just have a header on our farm J.Hasert: They are very common in WNY JSchomburg: Not sure on that Jeff, if they look good I know I would buy at least 3 ryan borcherding: Jeff how big are your wagons???? jeff moores farm toys: which wagons? ryan borcherding: gravity
..... jeff moores farm toys: the
gravity wagons are 500 bushel ryan borcherding: okay thanks JSchomburg: decals
coming out? jeff moores farm toys: JS...we
don't have any new decals in the works...what are you after? WE don't... JSchomburg: Well,
DMI decals would be nice, but I know most aren't allowed to do them jeff moores farm toys: Case is a problem when it comes to decals..... JSchomburg: The same is true for Case IH stuff J.Hasert: Jeff
will you ever look at cotton equipment? jeff moores farm toys: Everyone asks for cotton equipment but we don't think the numbers are out there. jeff moores farm toys: Possibly a module builder? JSchomburg: Would
the same be true for potato equipment Jeff? jeff moores farm toys: Probably. jeff moores farm toys: Unless a manufacturer will invest some money in it. jeff moores farm toys: No...unfortunately
I don't have that ability. I have an outside source when I need it. jeff moores farm toys: I usually use drawings and blueprints of the actual piece JSchomburg: Thanx for your time Jeff, and Thanx to you too Jason. jeff moores farm toys: You're welcome Jon jeff moores farm toys: On
rear spacer duals Would you like set of removeable hubs- 2 piece set a separate
hub and rim J.Hasert: I would Dusty Kirschmann: Me too jeff moores farm toys: We
are thinking about them need to sell 10,000 sets tho?? jeff moores farm toys: That
is a lot of them ? to keep the price affordable jeff moores farm toys: yes was wanting them so standi's tires would fit them start with 18.4X42 jeff moores farm toys: and 20.8X42s Dusty Kirschmann: the
hub will remain on the axel right? jeff moores farm toys: We
have had some prototypes we have showed jeff moores farm toys: Dusty
yes hub with rim to fit tight on it and removeable Cody From Rochester NY: Jeff, how much is the Cat Lexion bin extention and how does it attach? jeff moores farm toys: Cody
$6.00 super glue or clear exopy to hold on jeff moores farm toys: Also thinking about FWA Dished Rims Dusty Kirschmann: that
would be a good addition as well. jeff moores farm toys: Yes
i think so to other then the cost of the dies to do them TNTom: What's
the best and/or easiest way to make hinges for folding equipment? jeff moores farm toys: Use
two different bias. of sq. tubing insert them together, drill hole: in
center them. then remove and cut notch in outer -larger one so it folds : this
is about the easiest jeff moores farm toys: Thanks Jay jeff moores farm toys: Look forward to doing again sometime! J.Hasert: Very happy to do it. Glad we can all chat and learn jeff moores farm toys: Yes
lots we all can learn from each other!
