Joe Sikorski  (Joe in CT)

I do not know how many tractors and implements I have. I am sure it is in the few hundreds not including open pack items which do not count. Duplicates are limited to a few as well. One of each is enough. I go for mainly 1/64 now and Farmall/ IH  tractors. I look for the old rare sets most people do not know about. I have most old 4wd's and combines made by Ertl as well as most tractors made in the 70's and 80's. I have all the 1/16 toys from my childhood in the barn my dad built.  I have bought most things online as there are NO dealers in Connecticut  to buy toys from. Some toys have come from out of state sellers listed in the Toy Farmer or the 3 shows a year I go to.

As I remember a IH 544 and JD 3020 were the original play toys with some small implements. Then the JD 4440 and IH 1586 with duals. In 1/64, a 1086 was my  first from the 80's which I still have on my display as I liked the color and got hooked on IH and Farmall.

I have never lived on a farm or out of the city. I visited my uncle's farm and watched each summer baling with a Farmall M and NH 77 baler with motor and a Farmall H with side rake and sickle mower. I visited each Sunday and that got me hooked. Those two tractors are still used regularly by me as well as a Farmall 350.

My display is constantly changing with the seasons. Nothing is permanent. Each and every tractor and implement  is customized in one way or another. The stock tractor does not show realism in my mind. If it is not made I try to make it for the display. The display depicts a New England farm and area. I have no use for fancy combines or big 4wd's.  I will customize and collect them for the enjoyment but that is it. Big plows and harrows and  no till implements are foreign as well. I have built 2 free stall barns and expanded the dairy barn. The display started when Ertl first released the farm country set with the garage, machine shed, and barn. It has doubled in size from its original lay out. It can not be any bigger as I have no room for expansion. Each square foot depicts something to catch the eye. There are no large open spaces of dirt
