Home Up L2 L3 R-60 R-72

L2

The Gleaner L2 was introduced in 1977 as an upgrade to the Gleaner L introduced in 1972. The model was revolutionary for its day with an open concave allowing for more separation at the cylinder, single transverse-flow fan for improved air distribution over the shoe, and electro-hydraulic controls for greater operator convenience.  The major change with the 2 series L was that a gasoline engines were no longer available. The 130hp 301-cubic inch turbo charged diesel engine was standard on the  L2. The L2 had a bin capacity of 200 bushels and could handle up to 8 rows corn and 22ft of small grain. Ertl offered a 1/32 L2 combine with a grain head from 1978-1985.
