National Farm Toy Show Display #4
Jason Hasert (left) with Jonathan Klawonn (right) reviewing Jacki Klawonn's entree Jacki Klawonn placed third at the 2001 National Farm Toy Show. Jacki's display represents a modern 1,200 acre farm with a twist. The display represents the farm in her son Jonathan built 30 years later. Jonathan's 8th place display represents the same Illinois farm in the 1960's. Jacki's display shows how the farm grew and modernized over 30 years. Click on the pictures below to see how the farm changed from Jonathan display which represents the farm in days gone past. The modern farm raises hogs, corn and beans. It is highly detailed with power lines lining the roadside and the detail goes so far that there are under ground lines on the farm represented by small poles by the buildings. The farm also has a complete liquid manure handling system. There are several nice custom John Deere 40 and 50 series tractors on the display. The several 12 row combines working in the fields are detailed and even the headers have silver highlights to show use. Notice behind the 9750 STS the chaff in the field and right underneath it the corn stalks. 900 tooth picks were carefully placed to create the corn. Click on these pictures to see how the landscape has changed from 30 years ago. The road is the same but all the buildings and fields are smaller.
