National Farm Toy Show Display #11

Keith Mortimer placed eleventh at the 2001 National Farm Toy Show. Keith constructed an impressive machine shed and shop in 1/16 scale for a large custom operator.  The shed contained equipment used to cover over 20,000 acres of cropland per season.  The farm had three John Deere 9420 4wds. Two interesting row crop tractors which were  8300T's on triple rear tires. Why 8300T's on tires? Keith had one of the most creative tractors of the display contest. This fantasy tractor was a dual track 8400T. Keith's equipment lineup was well selected lead  by a custom 1/16 DMI 530 ripper, John Deere two tandem 550 Mulch Masters and a scratch built sprayer and a tracked caddy. The nicest part of the display was the machine shop. inside was and 8410 with rear mounted chemical tank, a 9420 on the DMI ripper and a Precision Classic 4440.  Some nice support machines were also carefully placed with a 950 utility tractor, Clark forklift and 3 wheeler ATV. The walls were papered with John Deere pictures. The highlight of the shop was the second floor parts storage with planter boxes and tools. The shop doors rolls up and down and there are lights across the rafters.
