The 7788 started out as a C&D models kit. I completely rebuilt the front end from scratch, added handrails, lights as well as my own decals.
The 8850 started out as a pull back 8850 because it was closer to correct size than the articulating version. I cut the back off and added a hinge from another piece so that it would pivot. It has handrails, lights, wheels from a 9400 which were cut down to duals, and the 3 point linkage and hydraulics are from the 9400 as well.
Corn Load for Kinze 840 and Brent Grain Train
Bean loads for Grain Train with custom roll tarps Every year as harvest approached I felt there was something missing on my display. Here I had combines, trucks and wagons out but they would sit empty. Many people on TTS ask how do you best make a grain load and out of what? I decided to cast grain loads to reflect full loads of corn and beans. I hope you like them. For ordering or additional information email johnesche@hotmail.com
The 1586 started out as one of the few toys that I still had in one piece from my childhood. It was stripped and repainted and has had a 3 pt. hitch, suitcase weights and duals added. It's pulling an C/IH offset disk that I custom made from the Ertl wing disk and a C&D fold up roller with the wings and wing mounting posts removed. The packer is painted to resemble a Brillion. This outfit resembles one I drove for Spring tillage for several years.
The 7488 was a beat up 3588 which I stripped and repainted. I cut off the plastic Ertl wheels and replaced them with duals from a C/IH 9250 with the outer ring of the rim removed so that they look more like the hub duals IH used on these tractors. It has a Moore's 3 pt. hitch as well.
The 966 hi-crop started out as a regular Ertl 966. It was stripped and cut apart to add an old style Ertl wide front with the long spindles and the rear drop box and wheels from a hi-crop M. The fenders were cut to fit around the drop boxes and it was repainted and the old decals placed back on it. I have also added the bracing for the wide front and throttle lever and a more realistic steering wheel.
The JD 5020 V-8 started out as a regular 5020 which I cut the entire engine compartment out of and removed the exhaust pipe. I then added a C&D models V-8 motor, filing it down to fit the open space. I built the mufflers and exhaust manifold from brass tubing and welding rod. I have also added a throttle lever and duals and decals from Mark Wikner.
