Home Up 95 and 105 New Generation Titan Turbo Titan II 9600 9600 HS STS Series

Titan II

All new for 1985 were the Titan II combines. Not only were the cab tops
green but new horse power was added. The call for more combine capacity is
an on going demand in the the U.S. and Canadian market. Just like the
increases made from the 55 to 95 and 105 combines, John Deere increased the
Titans abilities. Sales in 1984 of the 7720 surpassed those of the 6620 in
1980. So in 1985 the big 8820 II supplied a 225 hp engine and an extended
cleaning shoe giving 15% more capacity, faster shake and higher air flow.
Deere marketed duals on their combines for the first time with the release
of the 8820 Titan II. ERTL offered a 1/24 and 1/80 Titan II toy model from 1986-1989.
