All-New 60 Series

The articulated John Deere 4wds were redesigned in 1988 with a longer wheelbase, new 12 speed Syncro, 24 speed PowrSync, 12 speed power shift, and a new Sound-Guard Body featuring a new side access door and one piece upper windshield for improved visibility. The offset muffler and air intake continued to minimize visual obstruction of the field. The new models included the 235 hp 8560, 300 hp 8760 and 370 hp 8960. The 8560 featured here provided an alternative to the 200 hp 4960 2 wheel drive tractor for tillage and other field duties on large farms. Ertl offered a 1/64 8560 from 1989 to 1994.
