James Fernow
This is an IH 1256 that was a collector edition. Cab was removed and fenders were added along with A/C hoses running to the back to make it look like it had a cab, rear hydraulic couplers, fender warning lights, added spacer duals with hubs, detailed engine, and front suitcase weights.
This was a toy tractor times 1456. I removed the cab and added fenders along with warning lights, rear hydraulic couplers, A/C hoses running from front to back, 20.8-38 rear Firestone tires, detailed rear rims, extended axels, throttle and hydraulic levers, detailed engine and batteries, chrome curved stack, metal-mesh-glass air cleaner and front suit case weights. I was thinking about putting balloon tires on the front but I wanted it also to depict the look of a "super farm stock" tractor that you can use in the summers at tractor pulls.
This was an IH 1466 Collector. It still is a 1466 but it is an EXACT replica of what my Uncle Jim had on his farm and he also tractor pulled with it. In real life this tractor was kept in pristine condition. Anyway, this is what I did to make it realistic; I of course detailed the whole tractor including rims and the cab with paint, I added a heavy three point hitch with heavy coupler, 20.8-38 rear Firestone tires, dual hubs, extended axels, balloon tires, tool box, ladder steps, front suitcase weights, two working field lights on the side of the front grill, two working field lights on the rear of the cab towards the A/C unit, I added an A/C unit to the top/rear of the cab, chromed the top middle piece of the hood, red and white metal air cleaner, chrome straight pipe, handles on the cab, throttle and hydraulic levers, tool box and air condition hoses. That tractor made the Toy Farmer back in Sept of 97. Quite a project. |
