 Jacco van den Broek

Jacco van den Broek , born and raised in the Netherlands and now living in Germany for the last 16 years started collecting 1/32 scale farm models for about six or seven years ago.  Before this tractor era he was a model railroader .

The reason he switched from HO trains to 1/32 tractors was a cost reducing measure , a serious good train car costs about $30,- , a good detailed tractor about half this price .

So Jacco bought a tractor of Siku , and another one  , and another one and some more . Today his collection is 750 plus models and still growing  , 99% of the models are 1/32 , only a few in in other scales .

Jacco's biggest passion are the models of Siku and Britains because those models are better detailed and lower in price as the models of Ertl or Scale Models are in Europe . Otherwise Jacco says that some Ertl and Scale Models tractors are very easy to convert. The best models to convert are the ones from Siku , so a lot of my conversions are based on Siku models .

Here some pictures of Jacco's conversions .

  New John Deere Custom's

Here is the new Siku John Deere 6920 S which according to Jacco is a great basic model to convert. Siku did a pretty good job on this one and Jacco just added a few enhancements .

Here is a 1/32 Ertl John Deere 6200  converted with a front-end loader and the wheel off the Siku.

Picture number one shows a fantasy model of a Caterpillar Jaguar. Jacco had hoped that the Jaguar was coming in this livery in the USA but as everybody knows , the marriage between Claas and Caterpillar is broken so this will be Final Fantasy for the future .

Picture number two shows the second part of Jacco's fantasy , think that the comment of the first picture is also for the second one .

Picture number three is A International 6388 2+2 made by Ertl in the early 80-s and was radio controlled.  After removing all the electrics Jacco give her a new painting and put other wheels on the model . The result is very good and is looking much better as the original one .

Picture number four is a John Deere 8310 with low pressure tires and a Peecon Manure Tanker with a volume of 27500 Liters.  The Johnny was converted by Jacco , the Manure Tanker is completely made by Paul Stockx from Belgium .

Jacco has also converted other Ertl Models such as the John Deere 6200/6410 , Case Maxxum , the both High-Horse models of New Holland , the Case STX 450. Most of conversions are based on other tires , other decals , original paint and small detail work like back view mirrors , flash lights and other little stuff .
