Hesston Field Queen Harvester

October 2001: by

This is the mighty HESSTON FIELD QUEEN 7655.  I operate this machine for Steve and Donald Replogle at Three Spring Run Farms in New Enterprise, PA.  These machines were built back in the 70's and 80's, and as far as I am concerned will outdo just about any other harvester on the market today.  This beast has a 257 horsepower Detroit V-8 engine, and has a side dump body system like no other.
The three main Models of Field Queen were the 7655 (dumpbox), the 7650, and the 7600 which where both conventional. There was also a 7660 that was a rear dump ,it was only  popular  with the alfalfa dehy industry. The 7650 had a 257 Detroit engine and the 7600 had a 210 Cat.
Hesston/Field Queen  was formed in 1981 and came out in a dark red and crème paint job. Hesston offered three models from 1981-1985 from 210hp to 257hp with a 6 knife cutting cylinder.  Hesston Field Qeens were unique from other self propelled forage harvesters in that they were rear wheel drive harvesters. All models were hydrostatic drive and had front-wheel power assist available.
