Heavy Ground Farms Digging Beets by DJ
We use a 6 row WIC Defoliator pulled by a John Deere 8200 that beats the leaves off the beets.
A 4310 John Deere Beet Harvester pulled by a John Deere 4850 is used to open up the field, here it is dumping a tank load of beets on a classic Mack semi.
Once the field is open a 6-row Heath Direct load Harvester pulled by a John Deere 8400. Here the harvesting team is loading a Mack semi with a 4 axle trailer. In the background is a quad axle truck, unloading the beet dirt coming back from the processing plant.
Because beets are often harvested under wet conditions 4wds like this John Deere 8560 are brought out to the field to help move loaded trucks out. This 8560 has a pusher mounted on it to help move the 6 axle trailer out of the field.
