Q&A session ran from 8:02 pm ET to 9:04 p.m. ET. Thank you to everyone for
making it such a success. Many Thanks to Bill Walters for chatting
with the collectors on TTS. Bill Walters: Hello J.Hasert: Hi Bill. Thank you for stopping by tonight. Bill Walters: Ready when ever you are Jason. Nick
Barden: Are
you going to bring back some classic tractors and combines like the MF 1155? Bill
Walters: We
brought back the MF 1155 tractor in both 16th and 64th scale. Bill Walters: We had to retool some parts as the old tooling was bad. Nick Barden: I mean others, that was just an example. Sorry Bill Walters: We'll have to see how our old tools are before we do any additional units. Bill Walters: I believe the collectors would like us to change old tools, so they are not exactly the same as what was out before.... RYAN: Is
ertl going to be making any kinze 12-16 row planters sometime in the future Bill Walters: We currently don't have a license with Kinze, and could probably only get one in 1/16th scale if we did. It's a possibility but not anytime soon.... RYAN: ok OHFFAMAN: Will
Ertl be making any more of the older larger combines such as the 7700 JD or say
a 1460-1480? Possibly a 915 perhaps?. Any color is great. Bill
Walters: As
you probably know, we're doing a 1/16 JD 45 Combine. If this sells well: I'm
sure we'll be making more, in all the different manufacturers. OHFFAMAN: what
about in 1/64th? : Although
, a true 1/16th scale combine would be very cool Bill Walters: I
can see us doing some 1/64th as well. The 95 and 815 we did was well received cody wolfe: How
about older 1/64 four wheel drives luie: Yes
like the older 2+2s Bill Walters: Cody, We do have one in the works, I can't tell you yet... cody wolfe: like the AC440 or a JD 8850 or something like that. : Bill Walters: We are doing the 440 in 1/32 scale, or are you just a 1/64th collector? cody wolfe: 1/64 only cody wolfe: That
is a fairly popular tractor around these parts and i would like one for my
display. Tim Mattson: Do
you have any plans for a Farmall C in 1/64 scale? Bill Walters: Not
right now, it is on our long range plan. We have the "06" series
coming now Ace_Adam: do
u have plans to make Brillion equipment Bill Walters: No plans right now.. That is a good suggestion. I will have to look at : projected sales to see if it is worth the tooling expense. Bill Walters: Do
you want 16th or 64th? Ace_Adam: 1/64th Ryan Brunink: Are
you planing to make a Glenco Soil Saver about a 16 foot in 1/64th Bill Walters: Another
good question. I hadn't thought about a Glencoe. They are not overly popular in
NE IA, but I will have to do some more research to see what type of market share
they have. I might be surprised. Bill Walters: We
have a meeting with AGCO in a few weeks. I will talk to them further. J.Hasert: Bill any chance of a 1/64 White 16 or 24 row planter from AGCO farmer dan: Have
you thought about doing 1/64 dmi or a slurrystore set with a dairy parlor I
figured since CNH owns DMI that maybe you would do that it would be popular Bill Walters: I'm
getting a feeling all of you are looking for tillage and seeding/planting : equipment.
I guess we need to get busy and get some of these done. farmer dan: DMI would be cool we need tillage for after harvest since moldboard plowing is less and less popular. Bill Walters: How do you like the JD Field cultivator we did? Ace_Adam: I like it when is the Case International coming out? OHFFAMAN: Its good Bill, how about a true CIH/IH/DMI? or a Glencoe perhaps? Matt Havlovitz: I love it but I also one in red for the STX RYAN: Does ERTL make any cultivators or packers farmer dan: GrGreat toy. Need red though joe in ct: No use for it here in New England, I have not bought it yet J.Hasert: I liked Bill. Long over do for your 4wd line up with triples Bill Walters: Ryan,
what scale? Are you talking row crop cultivators or other? RYAN: 1/64.
It would be perfect for just after disking OHFFAMAN: and some finishing tools like packers, cultimulchers or crumblers Matt Havlovitz: Bill
are there any plans for smaller field cultivators? Bill Walters: No plans I can announce yet. Jon S.: When
is the JD 4000 series coming out and what is the next planter coming out? Bill Walters: The
JD 4000 Series should be out in November. We have some samples now and : they
look very nice. We'll have them at the National Show. I can't answer your
question on planters. Jon S.: You
know and cant tell us or there is not one in the works? luie Has ertl ever thought about a wide tread 8400t Bill Walters: I know but I can't tell. Yes, we have thought of a wide tread 8400T. Jon S.: thanks bill Michael Schultz: Will you be coming out with a classic combine set? luie: ok thanks Jon S.: thanks bill Bill Walters: Michael, no time soon. Unfortunately lots of modern pieces. Only so much tooling to go around. Kade Nice: Why
does it say chisel plow when it is a field cultivator Bill Walters: Screw
up on our part. We were originally going to do the chisel plow.: We
changed our mind, but forgot to change the package. Kade Nice: So
is the screwed up box going to be changed Bill Walters: Yes,
it is being changed right now in fact. Bill Walters: We're
human like everybody else. chael Schultz: Any new farm sets? bigacres: This probably has been asked already but will you be coming out with smaller planters like 6 row or 8 row Bill Walters: Bigacres, I'm assuming you're talking 64th. Not worth our time to do smaller planters in 64th. The average planter is now over 12 row, headed bigger. bigacres: Yes, hey be nice to us smaller sized equipment farmers Bill Walters: I was raised on a small farm. We try... Michael Schultz: Yes, I like 6 row. Bill Walters: My dad had nothing larger than a 4-row planter. Ace_Adam: Are you going to make 1/64 metal plows and what about a harrow Bill Walters: No
plans for either. I get no interest from any OEM in doing a plow or harrow. Bill Walters: What
about the 4440? You want to see that done in 1/64th? Bill Walters: would be a good tractor. cody wolfe: yes and with rubber tires :as well farm drainage equip. Such as the wolfe 400 Bill Walters: We don't use rubber any more. It rots after so long. We use PVC. A Bill Walters: No plans for drainage equipment. I need to get smarter on that cody wolfe: Would
ERTL be interested in casting a Wolfe 400 drainage plow if I sent the dimensions
and blue print Bill Walters: Cody,
do you have the licensing authority to grant us the permission? cody wolfe: I
can get it tomorrow cody wolfe: The
whole company and dealers would like to see some Bill Walters: Cody. Maybe we can talk further on this. Jason can put you in contact with me. RYAN: What
is up with the 1/64 anhydrous wagon why were they pulled off market . I see them
on line. Bill Walters: Where
are you seeing 1/64th Anhydrous wagons, I don't know of any in our line. RYAN: www.actionfarmtoys.com RYAN: oh
ok Bill Walters: Like any other product. After being in the line so long, sales drop off. Bill Walters: Action must have some left over from many years ago. Jon S.: How
about a 4020 with a148 loader 1/64th Bill Walters: A
4020 w/Loader would be cool. Todd Beougher: are
you going to make any new model cat challengers? Bill Walters: Todd,
we don't have a Cat license, NORSCOT is the main supplier for CAT. Bill Walters: I
would love to do one, but we have to have a license. Todd Beougher: I
forgot about that. sorry Allan in Ontario: Will you be making any new NH tractors like the TS or TM series tractors Nick Barden: Are
you going to come out with the new New Holland combine? Bill Walters: Allan,
we are talking with CNH on tooling NH tractors. Hopefully we will. Bill Walters: Nick,
we are waiting for NH to decide. We hope so... Bill Walters: Thank you everybody, I enjoyed the chat. I'm sure Jason will set up another one. Bill Walters: Thanks
for all of your suggestions and comments. I appreciate it. J.Hasert: Thank
you Bill for your time tonight. We know how busy you are. Keep up the good work. Bill Walters: Thanks Jason, I appreciate your efforts in setting this up.. Bye.... cody wolfe: Thanks bill RYAN: Thanks for answers our questions Tim Mattson: Thank you bigacres: TY Bill Allan in Ontario: Your
welcome Bill thanks for coming Dan Mahoney: thanks OHFFAMAN: 3
words: Tillage and planting :) Bill Walters: Got it OHFFAMAN luie: Thanks bill ejoyed the info OHFFAMAN: thanks bill RYAN: talk to you sometime in the future J.Hasert: We look forward to having you back Nick Barden: Thanks
