Mammut Forage Harvester

The CaseIH Mammut is a new class of forage harvester that delivers revolutionary performance with its innovative chopping technique. Versatile in its design and operation, effortlessly it meets all the demands of farmers and contractors who are dedicated to achieving maximum productivity. At the heart of the Mammut Forage Harvester is a huge, 21-in.-diameter, 12-knife cutter head. Hardened alloy knives span the full width of the cutter head and chop evenly and efficiently, converting green crops into high-quality feed. The largest Mammut is the model 7800 which is powered by a 544hp engine. The Mammut is only available in Europe. There are 5 Mammut choppers reported to be running on an operation in California and a Mammut also toured New York and Pennsylvania summer farm shows in 1999.  Gordy Schultz scratch built a 1/64 7800 Mammut.
