CaseIH 2188 Axial-Flow
1/64 2188 Collectors Edition
1/32 CaseIH Dealers Edition 2188 In the fall of 1994 farmers were introduced to the new 2100 Series of CaseIH Axial-Flow combines. The 2188 was the largest of the new combines, checking in with a 210 bushel capacity and a horsepower rating of 260. The 2188 represented the pinnacle of over 150 years of Case and IH harvesting know how and brought an unmatched level of modern comfort and ability to the harvest task. Ertl paid tribute to the larges member of the 2100 series family with a 1/32 collectors edition 2188 toy model. The collector's edition is easily identifiable with its "2188" decaling and die-cast collectors inscription; the similar shelf model was offered as a 2166. Ertl released a special edition 1/64 2188 with duals to celebrate the new series as well. CaseIH dealers received a special edition 2188 during the 2100 series. The dealer edition was similar to the collectors 2188 but it had dual wheels and two front ladders. Today this dealer edition will bring $250 to $300. A 20th Anniversary Axial-Flow model was also offered by Ertl in 1997 using the 1/32 2188 casting. This model was offered in a closed black box and had AFS decals, GPS Antenna and cab mirrors.
