AGRI-KING
Case offered the 1270 from 1972-1978. The 1270 was a new tractor from the ground up with a new transmission, modern cab and easy serviceability. In 1972 1270s weighed in at a hefty 126 hp and was J.I. Case's biggest row crop tractor offering to date. The transmission on the 1270 was designed with inboard planteries to allow for adjustable rear wheels. The 1175 and 1170 models had fixed rear wheels with out board planteries. The 1270 also had a new closed braking system. In 1974 the 1270 received a power boost up to 135 hp. Around 75% of the Case 1270's were sold with the popular AGRI-KING cab. In 1972 Ertl offered a 1/16 scale Case 1270 toy the 451 cube engine in an open station model and with a cab. The open station model was also offered in a set with an orange plow, disc and wagon. A 1270 toy new in the box can bring up to $639 with a cab and $441 as the open station model.
