Case 1070
Case introduced the Case 1070 in 1970. The 1070 was the horse power leader of the new Agri-King 70 series at 107 hp. The Agri-King tractors ushered in a modern styling of Case tractors. The square sloping hood added a look of power to models like the 1070. The 1070 had many features farmers were looking for as the 1970's started. Power brakes, dual pto speeds, range power shift and an isolated factory cab with roll over protection. Ertl offered a 1/64 scale 1070 in the late 1970's on two different blister cards. The 1/64 model was modeled after a 1070 but did not show any model numbers. The 1070 first debuted as a 1/16 toy model in a Black Knight color scheme. This rare tractor toy can bring $500 + in mint condition and $1000+ new in the box. A latter model was offered in Case white and power red as an open station tractor in 1/16 scale. This model also came in a farm set. It was first offered on a Farm machinery of the World card by Ertl and latter in its run it came on the new for the time Ertl Orange, White and Yellow blister card. In 1996 Ertl offered a 1/16 scale 1070 in the early 1970's tan.
