We are proud to be hosting our second Mark Twain Toy Show since Danny Gottman and Fred Layman stepped away from 22 years of toy show responsibilities. The 24th Annual Toy Show will still be held at the old Holiday Inn which is now under renovation and will become Clarion Hotel & Suites. The Saturday and Sunday hours have been changed a little to help vendors get to dinner quicker on Saturday night and to get on the road an hour sooner on Sunday. The toy show is mostly agriculturally based but many vendors offer many different kinds of toys, replicas, apparel, collectibles and hand made crafts to choose from. With over 60 vendors on the roster we’re planning on filling the hotel with thousands of toys and collectibles once again in 2009! On exhibit this year will be Steve Bringer’s Modified 4x4 Chevy Pulling Truck “Playing for Keeps”. And on Saturday the Palmyra Young Farmers are hosting a pedal pull for the kid’s ages 4 to 9. We even have the “Lady’s Pavilion” for the gals where you can find quality hand made crafts, quilts, and gourmet foods along with a lounging area. The show takes me back in time every year when I see the old Tonka trucks, HotWheels and die cast tractors that I played with as a boy. We had a great time last year and made many new friends and we’re excited to see everyone again. February will be here before we know it so don’t forget to mark it on your calendar.
