This photo shows Russell Koeller Farms applying anhydrous ammonia to a field that will planted to corn this year. This is an economical way to apply nitrogen fertilizer for a high yield. Nitrogen is a very common element in our environment(78% of the atmosphere is nitrogen) and some is naturally applied each time it rains or snows but not enough for modern farming
