STEIGER EQUIPMENT
1/64 Trail-R-Disc by Jason Jeffers E-mail: jjeffers@pop.ctctel.com
1/64 Dig-R-Disc In the early 1980's Steiger entered the equipment market after purchasing the Binkley-Wilbeck line of equipment. Steiger built a disk chisel marketed as the Digger Disk, a double offset tandem disk called the Trail-R-Disk and an offset disk. Steiger also offered a 4wd dozer blade built by Delegman and scrapper pans. The Trail-R-Disc was Steigers most unique offering. The disk folded up horizontally rather than the traditional vertical way. Case International offered the Steiger Trail-R-Disc as the 696 after Tenneco purchased the Steiger brand. Today Steiger still offers scapper pans as their own independent line. No official toys have been offered by toy makers but Jason Jeffers using styrene plastic constructed a one of a kind 1/64 Trail-R-Disc that is fully functional. Jason Hasert used Steiger paint to re-paint a John Deere chisel plow to make a Dig-R-Disc for his Steiger collection.
