Forage Harvester
Some machines shred corn and hay into small fine chips. This shredded material is called forage. Farmers use forage harvesters to chop green feed for their cattle. Pictured above is a self propelled forage harvester with a corn head. The corn is chopped inside the machine and blown through a spout into a truck on its way to the silo.
