In Western States and Canada, grain farms are very large. Farmers use large pieces of equipment on these farms to harvest grain quickly. First the swather cuts the grain with a 32 foot header and lays it out in a narrow windrow. A large four wheel drive tractor follows the swather with a
pull-type combine picking up the windrows and harvesting the grain.
