The Byron Model 8400 is the end result of 25 years of innovative engineering and precision manufacturing.  Byron produces efficient, dependable harvesting equipment. Byron became the leader in large volume com harvesting by listening to the needs of growers and processors across the nation and around the world. The design of the 8400 is drawn from the needs of seed corn and sweet com industries to develop a high capacity, reliable commercial harvester.  The Byron Model 8400 is a harvesting system designed around Byron's time proven power unit. The 8400  is powered by a John Deere 8.1 liter, 6 cylinder diesel, 275 HP engine.  The practical benefits of operator comfort have also been engineered into the 8400 with a new series cab and reduced noise levels. Around the power unit are components designed to Byron's exacting standards. Powerful cleaning units, rugged elevators and conveyors and the versatile dump carts all contribute to the outstanding performance of the 8400. Byron's 3000 Series Com Heads are custom-designed for sweet com or seed com. C&D Models has the exclusive license from Byron to produce the 1/64 8400 Byron Sweet Corn Picker and the 1514 Dump Cart. C&D's picker/cart combo set is a highly detailed 1/64 model.
