The 8000 Series

In 1982 Allis-Chalmers released the 8000 series which was comprised of the 107 hp 8010, 133hp 8030, 152hp 8050, and 170hp 8070. These new tractors sported a cab with the  largest glass area in the industry, ground level refueling,  Agri-Data monitoring, and power-shift transmissions. This new line was the last new 2wd tractor series from AC. While it was the company's most advanced tractor the poor ag economy of the early 1980's did not provide volume sales. As  Allis-Chalmers was working on a 200hp 8095 the company sold its AG Division in May 1985 to Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz (KHD). The West Allis tractor was not part of the merger package and on December 6, 1985 the last 8070 rolled of the line with Deutz-Allis decals. While Duetz stated only the equipment  name was changing in its first publication after the merger, by 1986 "Spring Green" was the fimilar face of Deutz-Allis. Ertl offered the 8010 w/ fwa, 8030 w/duals, an 8070 and a 1/64 8070 during the AC years. Ertl produced these replicas with Deutz-Allis decals as well.
