New IH V-8 Power
New for 1976 was the 300 hp 4568, the most powerful tractor IH had ever offered to that date. This articulated tractor was built to pull large implements through all kinds of terrain and conditions. The engine was an 800 cubic inch V-8 turbocharged diesel. This was first IH 4wd to use a V-8 diesel engine rather than a 6 cylinder diesel. The 4568 had an easy shifting transmission with 10 forward speeds and 2 in reverse. The deluxe ROPS safety cab came standard with a heater and air conditioner. C&D models offers a 1/64 4568 4wd model kit.
