4-180

The 181 hp V-8 Caterpillar powered  White 4-180 traces its roots back to the Minneapolis-Moline A4T-1600. Produced from 1975-1978 the 4-180 retailed $44,124.00 and was available with an independent 1000 rpm pto. With the pto option this 4wd was popular with dairy farmers expanding tillage acreage who needed big hp to cover the ground in the spring but could not afford idle a tractor for the rest of the rear. The 4-180 was right at home behind an 8 bottom plow or 32 ft disk but was also suited to pull a forage harvester in the summer or manure spreader during the winter months.  Scale Models produced a 1/16 White 4-180 during its production run in the mid-1970's.
