2590
In 1978 the 180hp 2590 with a new tapered hood, headlights and grille replaced the 1570 which was rated at the same horse power. The 2590 was very similar in many of it features to the 1570. The 2590's upgrades over the 1570 included improved ease of serviceability with a swing out battery, tilt hood and modular instrument cluster that could be unplugged and quickly replaced. The Silent-Guardian cab was introduced on the case 90 series and offered new comfort to Case owners in the field. Ertl offered a 1/16 2590 from 1979 to 1983. Early versions had a silver muffler and latter versions had a black muffler. In 1980 a 2590 with front wheel assist and duals was selected by the Toy Farmer Magazine as the National Toy Show Tractor. A 1/64 model was offered from 1982-1984.
In July 2002 Ertl re-released the 1/16 scale 2590 toy. The new model comes in modern Ertl packaging, new row crop style tires and a black steering wheel.
